This design was registered on october 20 1883. A registered design marked item is rare to find. The firm uses a figural trade mark ( in a shape of an Atlas in a lozenge). This mark was commonly use by the firm on their electroplates and was rarely used on sterling silver.

Crowned with an exquisite delicate and fine fluted design complimenting an artistic beautifully decorated flute bottom that sits marvelously on four round feet with an exceptionally elegant carved finial top. The marvelous repousse decoration includes a beautiful empty cartouche perfect for engraving someone specials initials if you give this piece as a gift. The interior is lavishly gilded all over . In excellent condition with an excellent hinged lid.
